Chukka Can

Australian bootmaker RM Williams is renowned for making wholecut, elastic-sided chelseas, but they also make a very nice three-eyelet lace up boot - the Kingsvale.

I ‘ve always liked the idea of snuff suede chukkas; nothing goes better with denim in my opinion. However, I’d only ever seen the Kingsvale made up in chocolate kangaroo leather or dark brown suede in RMW’s stores.

Thankfully, apart from making a great boot, RMW also have a fantastic made to order service which allows you to specify a range of leathers and lasts for each model in their catalogue.

So with a little help from bootsonline, I placed an order for a pair of mid-brown suede Kingsvales, based on the traditional chisel toe last of RMW’s best selling Craftsman boot.

A few weeks later and my boots were ready, and I’m very pleased with how these turned out. They are well made, comfortable, and the suede has a luxurious nap to it.
